The fact that his career was cut so short and he had so many injuries within his career is just tragic. He is not only one of the most talented players in recent memory, but also may be the most exciting player the NHL has ever had. Easily the fastest skater I've ever seen, and it's not even close.

i've seen many greate players play in real live but when you saw Bure explode on skates when you actually see it you understand tjat he was in he's own class

Any Canuck fan will tell you that Pavel was the greatest player of all time. Yes the Sedins are amazing and Naslund and Trevor Linden also, but once he got the puck in his own end and started dazzling through players like they were standing still it got your heart racing so much because you knew something magical was about to happen. Its just a shame his knees went and had a few problems with Canuck management.

If a healthy Bure played in this era, even at his age now he would still score 40-50 goals ala Selanne. But unfortunetly his knee went on several occasions but nobody brought the fans out of their seats like the Russian Rocket.
