  • Most rotate the other way, sparks flying down. Is this a concern? or does it work the same? nice grinder thow.

  • hen I built this grinder, I didn't have anything but pictures to go by. I ended up building it upside down and backwards. I ground on it for 2 years before I bought my Grizzly. If you can believe it, I STILL use it occasionally! ThanX for the comment!

    Jeff!

  • Cant you just turn it around that side goes up the other down.

  • The way it's built, the assemblies are welded to th frame. I thought about cutting it apart, but why mess with what works? I'd prolly never get it this close to balanced and true anyway!

    Jeff!

  • Hasn't ben a concern for the past 5 years...lol. I wondered for a long time why I wasn't setting my pants on fire like alot of the other guys talk about.

    Jeff!

  • Hey do you know what the origin of the term sizzle grinder is? My dad calls somebody that sharpens knives for a living a sizzle grinder, but google is turning up dry.

  • Sorry, Can't help you on that one. Don't think I've ever heard of it. I grew up with all of us sharpening our own stuff.

    Jeff!
