this sounds so good, it's a shame you can't actually get it to sound like that. the amps and stompboxes in garageband are quite bad and you're charging a high amount for something that lets you use this crap without touching your hands. with that money i'd rather buy some proper recoring equipment and get a higher quality sound.

@TheMattPegg What you are hearing in the video was recorded using only the amps and stompboxes in GarageBand. A big part of what what makes it sound so good is GiO. GiO is not only a controller for the amps and stompboxes in GarageBand and Logic, it is also has a very high quality guitar input that captures your guitar's true tone. I just bought Main Stage 2 for my MacBook Air and this looks to be a brilliant compliment. The design of the unit it self seems to be efficient and well thought out in the relationship to Garage Band, Main Stage and Logic. However, not saying it is not worth it, butI did have a tiny bit of sticker shock.

Does anybody use this thing for live use? I have heard that it does not do well into a PA without a DI Box.

fucking mac, only thing as a windows fan i want is Garageband.. .tried to run mac osx on virtualbox lol didnt have garageband even.. lol
