  • God that kid's such a brat. What a prick

  • they chopped off Pompey's head and put it in the jar which the fat person brung it in well atleast i know where his body is.

  • This was such a good show, I dont know why the fuck they cancelled it.

  • The love between the two was somewhat tempered by the death of Julia. However, Pompey was wooed by the boni government to turn against Caesar. Moreover, Caesar was supplanting

Pompey as Rome's greatest general with his conquest of Gaul.

  • @IrianZamJaya It is difficult to judge since we also have G.Marius and L.C. Sulla as strong contenders. All within some 50 years. Caesar did win more pitched battles. Caesar was also 6 years younger than Pompey, so not sure what you meant by 'old guy'.

  • @piratebri Caesar loved Pompey as long as he could remain the one leader. But those two men were probably the most talented generals in all the Republic era. Pompey would have kept loving Caesar too if he had conquered Gaul and Caesar was the old guy.

  • Before anyone asks : the music at the beginning is called 'the death of Pompey'. The main Egyptian theme in this series is called 'Cleopatra seduces Caesar'.

  • People forget that Caesar loved Pompey, and continually tried to make peace with him. It was Pompey who kept the conflict going. That is why Caesar was so angry at his beheading. He deserved more honor than that, for being such a worthy adversary, and an ex-consul of Rome

  • No he was angry at the way Pompey had been killled... Caesar knew that Pompey would have o die. But to see his rival's body humiliated, executed by egyptians, infuriated him. Pompey was Caesar's rival and equal, and Caesar was pissed that Pompey had been so humiliated, when Caesar did respect him.

  • Caesar really was pissed that Pompey had been killed.
