While I'm sure Red looks great, it can't possibly be as good as, or better than 35mm film. Comparing digital video to film is like comparing a high-end phono turntable to an Ipod. One plays continuous, smooth, analog sound, the other plays fast blips of sound. No comparsion. If I had the $30K to buy a Red I think I'd rather spend that money on renting a 35mm Panavision camera package. Film give us the best cinema. Comments welcome.

People get paid to make commercials, do you mean a commercial for Red? I had just met the guys from red at that condo party for 1 minute and the other guy talking isn't an employee of Red, he's just a blogger who knows a lot about the camera.
