I eventually got the white cat. Ostriches can be bought at the Brownie Ranch.

Both tropic island in both ToT and Animal Parade are both the same it make sence I guess since both ToT and Animal Parade Island are still close to one another so I guess you go on the same tropic island.

Yes, you have to get all the ingredients for each tree. The hard part is finding the seed of hope. To wake them up you have to use your watering can. One tree is in the square, 2nd in Maple Lake, and Brownie Ranch!
