HKCCC Rnd 4 2010 MG Crash

My first race in the dry in this car. Brakes are new and pedal was hitting floor on first push so took it easy at first until it firmed a little. Then starting to shave 1sec off laptime each lap until last lap when it appears I put the left rear just onto the ripple strip under hard braking from about 180kmh and the car just turns into the wall. was down to low 2m30s without stressing engine and with lots of driving improvement to come. Good race till then with the K24 engined CRXs and the class B winning and beautifully developed 240z driven by Ian Geekie, one of the best Classic drivers in Asia. After qualifying 7th I managed to get up to 3rd when I went off. Oh well. Learned lots in the two rounds driving my new car. Now back to Singapore for a rebuild and lots of improvements. Bring on 2011 season.

Great video Ian, but shame about the ending....Good battle with the CRX - damn that Honda is fast! Looking forward to seeing the V8 beastie back soon.
