  • Yes I totally agree, I mean it should be FREE for all women. It would mean the difference between paying a electric bill or 60 dollar BC's....They shouldnt have that problem.

  • Thank you!

  • You people are ridiculous. Birth control isn't all about sex. There are many reasons people use birth control other than preventing pregnancy.

  • to all those: "Abstinence is free" comments:

Yeah, it's called "birth control" but it serves other purposes, too, for women's health.

It sucks when you have anemia and are put on birth control to control bleeding, but can't afford the pack every month. I couldn't afford my packs ($180!), I'm a full time student, but thanks to planned parenthood, I can. It isn't just about sex, people, it's about reproductive health for all, and being able to afford to take care of your body.

  • this is something i do agree with

  • @FrontalTraction

"They do, it's called self control! Try it!"

Oh yeah, because we all know how well Abstinence-Only Education has worked for everyone. *sarcasm* And last I checked, states with the highest rates of teen pregnancy and STDs are primarily RED states... funny, considering that most of the people in the misogynistic "keep your legs closed, skanks" brigade are conservatards/Republitards themselves, hypocrisy much? Maybe you should take your own advice for a change, try it!

  • wow these are some ancient comments.

  • Affordable birth control is something we need. It'll benefit everyone, and help raise our standards of living.

  • They do, it's called self control! Try it!

  • Uhhh, but abstinence is free and also there's no risk of stds. But if you want aids, that's ok too.

  • Tawanda - It's all about 'choices." I'm glad you've been able to choose having a family. I would like all women to have a choice as to the timing of their families.

  • tawanda: You make an excellent point! I agree for the most part, but then again, I would rather see my tax dolars go to helping you or for free meds than go to pay for abortions for Non American nationals in other Countries.
