Cuts at Tower hamlets College, Cuts at London Met. Cuts to St. Pauls Way.
No ifs, no buts, no education cuts!

This Saturday - March to Altab Ali Park
· Stop 1000 Esol places being cut (English for Speakers of other languages).
· 40 plus jobs cut at THC (Despite £6 million in the bank)
· 550 London Met (Despite money in the bank for a recovery plan)
· Youth workers, teachers, esol teachers, library staff affected
· Cuts to Outreach provision + Bethnal Green Centre.
This is a major dispute representing t massive funding cutting to further and higher education. This is the start of the break up adult education, and the privatisation of Higher Education and other public services.

We have had a fantastic level of resistance. We have coordinated strike action for 3rd of July (84% vote for strike action). UCU and Unison have called a national day of action with colleges up and day the country protesting.
Your struggle is our struggle!!
People around the world are struggling against budget cuts and the commercialisation as well as the privatisation of public education!
We need to unite internationally and globally, if we want to counter this development!
The next opportunity to do so will be the "Global Week of Action for Education" in Nov. 2009 [09 - 18/11].
