CAPT,
I would love to show this device to my squadron and maybe even get one for our squadron. If so were can we by one?

an so im assuming this is 121.775 not 121.5, witch i also assume means your in CAP. if that is true how do you like the "sniffer" compared to the L-per?
-
do you still offer these? can you email me? I am good on QRZ. my call is K0BLR. How much would you charge to build one? also this may sound dumb but do you need a Handheld to make it work or is there a rx inside the box behind the antenna?

Interesting demo - looks like a great little device. However, if you were to do a street demo like that in the UK you can be guaranteed a dark van would mysteriously start to follow you, only for you to then be apprehended under the prevention of terrorism act!! I get regular police visits just recieving weather satellites HI. 73's

your elper sounds differnt than ours. i just got back from a 4 day e.s.t with c.a.p. i'm going to find a ring tone version.
@Filipe:The Sniffer can be purchased from VK3YNG's web site, Google it.
@YoungestPilot: It destroys the L-Per. No joke. Put an experienced L-Per user and a guy who has spent 15 minutes with the Sniffer and you can almost guarantee that the Sniffer user will find the ELT first.

This is actually made for amateur operators; it happens to work with 121.5 Mhz as well.

Usually I am in uniform and with another team member while searching, so it's not a problem. :)
