'The Mercury Craze' is the single from the critically acclaimed album 'For Hero : For Fool' by Subtle. Available worldwide now on Lex Records / EMI.
This video was produced by Norwegian/Japanese animation collective 'SSSR', combining drawings, animated models, cut-up film and 3D computer graphics. It follows on from their previous trilogy of videos for Subtle's previous album 'Wishingbone' (also on You Tube) that won best music video at the British Animation Awards 2006.
This video is also available on 'The Mercury Craze' enhanced CD single (including a remix by Soft Pink Truth and a collaboration with Wolf Parade called 'Middleclass Haunt'): http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w...

I think The Mercury Craze music video is about the black creature with a human mask and other black creatures with skeleton masks and it was made on Sunday, September 24, 2006.
This song is absolutely amazing. I heard it on satellite radio and its just one of those songs that is so fresh and unique, you find yourself listening to it over and over again. The song's meaning is quite intriguing as well and very deep for being so catchy. I'd love to see them live. This music makes me wonder what the hell I've been listening to before now...
