I am an elementary teacher in the US and I would love to adopt a child from China, however, I do not make a lot of money and from what I hear, the adoption process is very, very expensive. If there were a way to apply for some type of grant that would help with the cost, my husband and I would adopt right now. It's a shame that these babies are in orphanages and need a family to love them. I'm sure there are many families ready to love and care for them but just can't afford it.
@Dragonzrkool88 u should turn them against china and teach them to hate china with a murderous intent that way they'll poison drink water etc and kill the adults that abandon them nothing says revenge when u kill whole population
Thank you. You are good people and may god bless you and your family. On one hand, the little girl was a gift from God to you and on the other hand, you are the gift from God to her!
@Dragonzrkool88 - I would never try to turn my two chinese daughters against her motherland. I want to raise them to love their heritage as it's a part of them. In my expoerience, western media does not tell lies about China's orphanages. I have visited my daughters' orphanage two times and have much love and respect for the workers there. I believe they are caring for the childrend the best they can.
@LinWanBob These seem like good people who can give this girl a happy life! but I hope they don't try and turn her against her motherland!
Many children were made orphans after the earth quake, I would try that province if you wish to help give a new home to a Chinese child!
Don't believe western media lies about China, Chinese orphanages are ok not the BAD places the American media try to talk about! American media must look very hard to find a bad orphanage in China!
Pamela, you said that your desperately wished Lily's birth mother had watched this Chinese television news coverage, and found out that her daughter was now being looked after and cheirshed. Yes, there are enough details there for her to figure out or at least guess at whether it was her little girl. I am glad that Chinese television had put out such an uplifting, educational, and positive story about adoption.
The carers seem very nice and dedicated and they try to do their best for the children. I hope all the children here will be adopted soon by loving families like this lovely couple.
this is an amazing story <3 god bless this family.

Do you know if this orphanage offers volunteer programs? I would love to go overseas and volunteer with them...
