  • Hey James, great video - I was wondering when there'd be a video on Meniere's! I've had it for over 10 years and in my case the symptoms have gradually got worse and worse. I too was told that eventually it burns out, but don't believe a word - afterall, how can anyone be sure of that when they don't know what causes the problem in the first place!! Best wishes to you.

  • James, very good video that I just discovered....you made it sound like there is light at the end of this tunnel. Where can I post messages to you, other than here???

  • James very great video I was told I don't have bppv they don't know what it is how do you get the diagnoses of MD who diagnoses you what can you do about it!!! Despreate

  • "Effectiveness of Acyclovir on Meniere's Syndrome III Observation of Clinical Symptoms in 301 cases," Mitsuo Shichinohe, M.D., Ph.D., The Sapporo Medical Journal, Vol. 68, No. 4-6, Cases of 301 MD patients treated with antiviral meds The results were: In 82.5% of cases diagnosed as Meniere's Disease, 85% of cases diagnosed as Meniere's Syndrome, and 89.1% of cases diagnosed as vestibular dysfunction, vertigo disappeared, and tinnitus and hearing were improved.

  • It's becoming common knowledge that Meniere's is caused by a viral infection and can be cured in 85%~90% of cases by taking Valtrex 1000mg three times a day or Zovirex 800mg five times a day for 4~6 weeks. These drugs are not even mentioned by most ENTs could lead many a reader to consider drastic, ineffective and irreversible surgical management which is still being pushed by many lagging doctors. sources above:

  • also to let everyone know there is no cure for this disease. just stay on a low sodium diet or meds.

  • you might have meniere's disease..did you have rining in your hears? hearing loss? if so try a low sodium diet. no more then 1500 to 2000 mg a day. no caffiene,no alcohol and no chocalate.

  • Just like Ive said I am 50 now and its been 38 years since I have suffered it I have always lived in Mexico City but now I am living in Canada as last Christmas I got married for the very first time ! so as you can see there is always hope no matter how hard this disease may be!

  • is ur ear twitching heaps! a sign on meneries

  • It has been about over ten years that i haven't had an attack.

I have tried avery therapy under the sun both in the UK and the US with no luck. I found my own remedy - No salt in my diet, No caffeine and I use a lot of Ginger and Licorice in every form - It worked for me. Always keep around some Anti-vert pills (only by prescription) Recently I was in an accident and it re-activated it as before, I am undergoing therapy with a Chiropractor for the mussels in my neck and stick to my old diet.
