Ellenville Wonders

What a flight! I'd been to 9481, I'd been way past the prison, and way out front near Rondout Res. and after 2 hours of high flying, I cruised back to the fishbowl over launch at about 3000 feet. There was a big crowd of PGs and HGs boating in the late afternoon wonder wind. The air was smooth and view spectacular. There were only a few gliders above me, including a white PG. He was working lift so I banked toward him. You can hear the thermal in the sound as I work it. He let me have the core and I worked my way above him and did a close pass. I watched him closely in the right turn to set up the pass incase he turned back toward the lift, but he was just cruising: sitting there cross legged in his easy chair, enjoying the view from 3500 feet. After the pass I cruised down the ridge to the airport and back and landed. what a great flight!

Yea, I remember you coming up from behind. Didn't know wether you were going to pass on the left or right which is why I just hung out there until you passed. ~ White PG.

It was great flying with you Rolan! You seemed to just be relaxing in your easy chair at 3 grand and enjoying the view. I didnt want to get too close but I wanted to see if I could get you in the frame. Drop my truck in the LZ for a beer!

Looks like a whole lot of fun. I'd love to learn how to hanglide, but for now, I'm going the ultralight route. Love all your videos! Cheers - Mark Zinkel
