Hollywood Strings Composition ("The Friendly Dragon" Excerpt)

This is a small demo I did using Hollywood Strings.

My computer needs more RAM before I start moving onto bigger pieces and full orchestra, so I decided to just show you what HS can do on it's own.

It's a pretty impressive program and a great purchase for anyone working in scoring for Film/TV.

how much RAM do you need, for the right work of hollywood Str.?

Use all 3 mics position....that will make the sound much more rich and realistic before going for digital reverbs.... I owned both... I use LASS during composition, when comes to the final product, I'll switch to HS.

By the way, what are the real spec to make HS run without any problems... does it requires slave PC/MACs ? or simply maximizing as much RAMS?

@biggareid The difference between LASS and HS is mostly a matter of taste. HS does have more articulations, but as for realism they're right on par with one another. LASS takes up so much less RAM and CPU it's really almost laughable comparing the computing power necessary between the two. HS used a lot of "studio magic" so the sounds of LASS are a bit more raw where HS is smooth, but a bit of EQ can make either one sound like the other. They're both very good!

I would love to hear slightly more of a larger room sound. but overall, sounds pretty good....you could also try to exaggerate a lot of the articulations. Just suggestions! :)
