Detail showing the interaction of Anhydrous Ammonia and 10-34-0 liquid fertilizer as they are discharged from the bottom of the Dawn model 6000 unit. Notice the liquid NH3 dripping off the back of the knife- in the operating position the discharge holes are more vertical so that this flow will tend to be straight downwards. The interaction of these two products forms a crystal structure that is thought to act as a stabilizer for the Nitrogen
