it took about a month, and she was trained ever since she was very small.

When your iguana is very small, keep a note of what time they poop. Iguanas will be very consistent about pooping time (but feed time must be consistent). When it was time for her to go, I held her under running water in the sink until she pooped. (this may take a while.) After a month she learned to go only when there was water running over her. Now she only goes when she's in the shower (she doesn't fit in the sink anymore). She will even walk to the shower herself now too.
