My hair was blowdried with a cool dryer before being cornrowed.
Also this shows how much shrinkage I have.

You're my hair twin! My hair is not as lon as yours but I too have incredible shrinkage. People ask me every other day if I cut my hair.... I use to get frustrated, now I just say yes... (lol) Thanks for posting this video.

What to do-embrace it. I've been natural for 2 years and I still have shrinkage! LoL! I was complaining about not to long ago...my hair stretches to armpit length but my last twists were to my ears by the end of the week! Enjoy each length and all that it can do...you'll look back and have fond memories.

Wow, we totally have the same hair type. My hair is a bit shorter, though. May I ask what, if any, heat protectant you use before blowing out? I would like to do more blowouts, but am afraid of doing damage.

@knylvable I didn't use heat. If I did it was warm and I chased it with my cool button.
