  • whats the cost of getting something like this..and also the legal thing..have soem designs based of english coinage, but with completly different designs and such, jsut keeping the shape, size and wieghts

  • @darthkarr Sorry for the LONG Delay! The cost to create a die is anywhere between $300-$1500 depending on what design you want to put on it. I don't know what British laws there are with using their designs, but most US coin designs are public domain besides a few (I believe the Sacajawea dollar is one of those few) Also when using those designs for custom minting you cannot use them with an intent to deceive, or in other words put a $ amount on them, or advertise them a US currency, etc...

  • what is the cost?

  • @RICHMONDHILL1981 @darthkarr The cost to create a die is anywhere between $300-$1500 depending on what design you want to put on it. Sorry for my delay!

  • What is the minimum order for a custom piece or how odes the process work!

  • @eddiekoski I don't know if you are still interested after my delayed response, but the minimum order with custom minting is 500 pieces.

  • Nice explanation! I'd still love to see a "Silver to the Moon" round, with the near face of the Moon on the obverse (mebbe in different phases, for a fractional weights series). Thanks for keeping the Silver fans engaged in the process! =^[.]^=

  • Good video Jim, and those silverbugs are beautiful.

  • hey qsb i wanna talk cash me and you email i can make good money you can too shoot me a email thanks!

  • Craftmanship...that's what I love about coins...I even like the 1 oz Copper coins, they're pretty cool too.

  • I had silver rounds made at Silvertowne and there were a few more steps taken. After the initial design was made and approved, they sent me a "lead shot" to approve the design in lead. They did because the dies are cut in a relatively soft condition and some changes can still be made prior to heat treating the die. After approval of the lead shot the dies were heat treated, polished and ready for planchetes.

  • Nice work!!!

  • Great Video!!
