@teresadallen also the indian thought process does not claim "A person invented something". The indian view point is, knowledge is eternal , during the process of civilization its found and lost at the end, only to be rediscovered again by a new world of people.And the cycle repeats.

So actually I am lowering my "indian-ness" when I claim that some indian discovered 0 etc.

@teresadallen yeah, damn arabs instead of being scholarly while introducing asian knowledge to west they seemingly hogged the credit. Here's another some muslim arab/persian dude call al-kwhrazmi or whatever wrote some shitty rip off of indian and greek sources, lived in pakistan(india old) that time, and now he is credited as inventor of algebra ,very un- scholarly behavior .

Recent american people like Chomsky are better, since they credit where its due, eg Panini's work in CFG etc.

You will see that almost everything you experience today came from India! Sanskrit is known as the mother of Indo European languages & it is ancient to Indus Valley: it was such a precise language that every letter was pronounced as it was written. Think!
