@yzia2009 Listen dude.. u can say wtever u want bout ur country.. dont say any shit about India.. problems are there with every country... the need is to solve those problems.. and if India were such a "horrible" country.. there wudnt be so many ppl defending it here.. Indian education is not worth shit overseas (IIMs, IITs).. pollution is coming down in all major cities (use of CNG).. as are illiteracy, corruption and filth.. I invite you to India.. come and see fr urself hw it is prospering..

cont'd... Pakistan has been abused by external powers, but in the inside Pakistan is as if a dead rotten donkey with the guts open and the insides spilled all around and the scavengers feeding on it under the open sun, and the people passing by are standing and often clapping to amuse themselves. Its a sad situation, unique to the land of Pakistan alone. Others are also Muslim, others are also Punjabis, but never a bunch such as in Pakistan. Heart breaking really.
-
cont'd... India's poor understand far more, and for their own good. They have produced a cultural resistance to all things perceived as pervasive (according to their own perview)---First modernity, and now against liberal-capitalism(postmoderni
ty). Pakistan's had more than its share of intellectuals, but its sad to see them drown away in the noise of nothingness. As someone said, 'Pakistan is not a state, but a real-state.' -
OMG. What a unique sight this is. Looks like a gazelle has come down to the lower rings of inferno. Pakistani public is so not used to being spoken to by an intellectual (as opposed to rhetoric and hegemony). She looks so peculiar in that atmosphere. So much distraction going on, like the people have come to a zoo to see an exotic bird. No one listens to an intellectual in Pakistan. To not have a 'Degree' , to be poor and uneducated is not an excuse to not respect an intellectual.

@sumanbasu You are so smart, now how did you guess that
-
@rohitcbs12 well said rohit....i just have one thing to say to mrs roy....if u have a problem with india, juss stay out of india,we know very well how to love and live in our beloved nation, and for pakistaan,if u love so much to hear about poverty and inequality and woman deprivation....u might juss love to read a newspaper from pakistan,it must be filled with all this,or may be not...ohh i forgot..."the freedom of media and speech" have u people heard of it ,it actually exists u know :)

@tolykozin was there some sarcasm?
-

she will hold press conference to protect human rights of those terrorist ,
that time you understand my comment and regret yours .
-
And you are a bad grammar whore.
Sorry, but one brute and uninsightful comment deserves another.
-
@sekhat1661 criticizing state for every wrong doing doesn't make her political analyst, she is media attention whore.........................
.... -
I like Roy, but i don't I don't think statement by 14 year old boy is representative of the ideological underpinning of why Talibans are doing what they are doing, at least in regards to issue of women.
-
"Horrible country..India"
Are u speaking on behalf on Pakistan? Because that doesn't sound very tolerant as you claim.
Yes, there are many wonderful Pakistani people as there are wonderful people anywhere else in the world including India. Quit bullshitting like you were born yesterday.
-
haha
-
Pakistan is such a wonderful country, the people are so wonderful and kind and embracing of all religions and so tolerant than any hindu I have ever met. Arundhati, please accept Pakistani citizenship and live here for the rest of your life. Your life is so much more valuable and you can do so much for Pakistan than that horrible country India.
-
Roy is a great person who looks beyond borders.
Some indians on this forum miss that point r here criticising her without reading her point of view or looking at the big picture. Narrow minded flag waving pricks, not honestly realising that indian Govt does alot of bad things. The Pak Govt is the same bad book for me. But please stop praising india, more than half population is uneducated/poor, india is polluted, dirty, over-populated,corrupt, education worth shit overseas, police incompetent.
-
Exactly.. !! what i wanted to say was this only.. the concept of India is sound and noble.. and I agree, execution hasnt been perfect.. but we're getting there.. and the majority of Indians realize that..
Anyway.. what i wud like is to hear her praise the concept.. make people aware and use positivity to bring about change instead of the news grabbing stuff she has become used to..
Brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
