Ted Neeley - Gethsemane (Toronto 1993)

This was taken from the legendary 1993 Toronto bootleg that was recorded during the A.D. Tour. that ran for almost 6 years in North America. JennaF recorded this fantastic performance and Sthunderrocker was responsible for the amazing re-mastering of this recording. Starring Ted Neeley in the lead role, he gives us perhaps his greatest performance of Gethsemane of all time!

thanks for uploading this version again! I hadn't heard it in a long time since the other video was removed sometime ago. this song has and always will belong to Ted Neeley. as good as he sounded in the '73 film, it's amazing how he sounded even better at 50 years old! no one could scream like this guy!

Ted Neely got Passion. It's not only a matter of voice range, or high screams... singin with heart and soul it matter. and Neely is amazing in this.

@msbabymonkey101 I don't know. Personally, Luke Kennedy sounds like a million other tenor singers. Ted Neeley sounds like Ted Neeley. There's no competition. Also, Neeley's singing the same notes as Kennedy, but Kennedy's using a weaker falsetto to reach the highs....

sad to say but I think Luke kennedys version is better ): I have been brought up with Teds version but Lukes version has so much more range of notes (: still love this one tho :D

My God!!! How can you even compare any other "Jesus" with Ted's version? There's absolutely no comparison!!!!
