Penny Mix Films take on one of Queen's heaviest and fastest songs with this competition entry for the Talenthouse 'Make A Video For Queen Competition'. This didn't win any prizes but was watched by Roger Taylor and Brian May.
Created using mostly vintage figures from the 1970s, this is a fully animated concert video, set to Queen's 'On Fire At The Bowl' live audio recording of 'Sheer Heart Attack'.
Following our Round 1 Show Reel Queen animation, featuring excerpts from our previous Queen based videos, this video is all new. Shot over a 3 week period in August 2011 in the garage of UK based Penny Mix Films.
The figures in this video were mostly made by the now defunct American company called Mego. In the 1970's and early 1980's they produced plastic figures based on popular TV, comic, music and movie franchises.
With toy lines featuring superheroes, villains, space people, monkeys, cowboys and monsters amongst others. They were fairly well articulated and held together by rubber bands inside and featured a soft rubber head. Each had an easily removable cloth outfit and occasionally other accessories for added value!
