@splotsplot I'd definitely rock this one around! no worries at all! I love that turbine!! No different then having a turbine rotorway, or a helicycle, Which by the way I am in love with that lil thing!! Cannot wait to get me one!!

The helicopter was mainly flawed because of the choice of a low power 2-stroke engine. Lots of vibration stressing welds and components and the inherent unreliability of a 2-stroke. Poor autoration characteristics also didn't help. No need to mention not being trained to fly it!

Most of those deaths were from engine failures, and this heli's bad Autorotative qualities and poorly designed mast system and parts. That being said, Turbine engine, proper weight and balance, and teh upgraded drive components, and a Heli is a Heli.. I'd Fly it if it checked out! I mean c'mon.. we've all been in some pretty bumped up Robinsons!

Can I ask you what the Turbine Transition costed you in this 500 and what kit, if any did you use? I may be acquiring a mini 500, and want to do the turbine transition immediately
