Jeopardy - VTR 9/18/83 unsold pilot - Part 1

A lot of people have been wondering what would happen if you cross Alex Trebek with Art Fleming's version of the classic question-and-answer game. Well, here it is.

There's something interesting to think about each of the players shown here.
*Karen has appeared in the short-lived Super Jeopardy version in November 1978. One of her episodes is already up here on YouTube.
*Jack Campion has appeared on a ton of gameshow pilots.
*Cynthia, along with Jack, would go on to appear in the second (and sold) pilot.

Karen was a multi-time champion in November 1978. She was dethroned by Brian Aronson, who was himself deposed the next day.

So, technically, that makes Karen Muranaka the first contestant to be brought back in the Trebek era.

You're welcome, but it's 9/*18*/83, not 9/8. Also, only Karen's last episode is on YouTube. Finally, "Super Jeopardy" was the bonus round of the 1978-79 version.

One thing I like is how Alex acknowledges that Art Fleming hosted before he did from time to time. Same thing with Pat and Vanna acknowledging Chuck and Susan on Wheel, despite Sony trying to make us believe that the current hosts were the original hosts of the shows.
