Quick video - to show how quick my Blade 400 flies.
Attached a Garmin 301 Forerunner GPS using velcro under the landing gear.
Only upgrades as follows: Fibreglass Blades from Hobbyking & Hitec Servos.
Standard battery and motor.
Im sure that there are faster Blade 400s - may give it another go when its a bit more windy.
Apologies for the video quality - 8 year old with the camera :)
Well he have the old Heisenberg uncertainty principle! The GPS may alter the final speed :) Also GPS does not measure speed well while accelarating, that is, if you reached high speed in turns it will not register properly. Ideally you should flight straight very quickly. Maybe using FPV would be more precise.
Nice video though!

@spionr10 Not if you picked a healthy rodent such as a harvest mice, they have incredibly robust internal organs which can withstand such a flight. I know this because last year I attached one to a firework rocket ( £3 starburst), and it survived not only the initial g-force, but also the bad landing.
I originally tried it with a Guinea Pig, but it was far too heavy and didn't even get off the ground ( maybe i needed a more expensive firework).

would it be possible to attatch a small animal to the helicopter, possibly a tiny rodent of some description. This would make a great youtube video, you'd get thousands of hits.
