Schaeffer has a point. Will the GOP realize that if it to have any future as an electoral party in America, it needs to maintain itself as a moderate conservative/centrist alternative to the current Democratic majority-- or will it continue to pander to the theo-con dominionists who'll gladly prostitute both Christ and Country for economic or political advantage? A number of moderate Republicans-and even true conservative (Goldwater) Republicans- have decreed that "enough is enough".
