Enviromental activists using "Yes Men"- like tactics infiltrated a speech at the LA Auto Show on Nov. 29, 2006 where General Motors Corp. chairman and chief executive Rick Wagoner was giving a speech about their plans to "go green". Gotta love it.

    GM is burying itself. The next car I buy will be electric, no more gas burning vehicles in my family to support foreign oil terrorists and domestic oil company capatalists.

    @BamFor07

    Don't you have anything to do than think your posts are unreplyable for all time?

    If your panties got into that much of a wad over who might read your comments, why did you bother leaving one?

    Next time set a time limit on the computer. Then your little sister can come drag you away or just pull the plug.

    Which GM vehicles get over 30 mpg? You mean the Aveo, made by Daewoo? Or the Cruze, also made by Daewoo?

    GM doesn't make anything that gets over 24 mpg in the city. All they can do is continue to shit out those guzzling, lumbering, unsafe SUVs. Everything else, they outsource.

    Remember the last Gookmobile GM shoved onto us? The Le Mans? See any on the road today? Kind of says something, doesn't it?

    So long, GM. You haven't seen the inside of my garage in decades - nor will you.

    One of the best examples on the web I've seen that really does show how the corporate media is just, well, in the tank for corporations and bug bussiness

    I went to a car show in Tokyo last year - big theme was "eco" cars and it displayed many hybrid and electric "concept" cars on with sexy Japanese gravure models. But, if you just picked up a pamphlet and read any of their production projections for the future then the truth looked different from the "eco" ambience of the show. In case of Honda, for example, only 3% of their cars were hybrid/electric and they had "plans" to increase that to 10% by 2030 - in 20 years!

    This is bullshit and you know it. Toyota makes lots affordable cars like the Aygo, which don't use a lot of fuel. And lets face it, they are so much ahead of pretty much any car maker out there concerning technology and production processes. Ok, most of their cars are not hybrids and yes they cost more, but there are people out there who want to support this kind of development and research. The rest can stick to the Aygo or whatever and get a practical and save car for their money.

    Toyota makes hybrids. . . but that is maybe 5% of their vehicles - they`re only for show. The other 95% are gas-guzzling cost-cutting pieces of s**t which now are have problems with gas pedals.

    Also...if the environmentalists push auto-makers to develop "environment-friendly" vehicles which come with a much higher price tag, will they give me an $5000 rebate coupon for buying a hybrid? Me and my low-wage janitor friend Senior Gonzales would appreciate one.
