Electric is the way to go. Even tho it requires lots of investments, it's still better than transfering our wealth to crazy, hostile regimes (like Russia, Saudis, Iran etc) and polluting the planet. I'll buy the first genuine electric car (Volt?) whatever the cost!
GM has made shitty cars for too long, and payed workers too much for lazy labor (thanks to unions.) Is it a big surprise that they're going under? I think Ford has stepped up and are now making better cars, but the price to produce them doesn't even compare to Asian cars. Workers will have to settle for minimum wage and start working harder if the U.S. auto industry is to survive. UAW will have nothing to complain about when the need for a union no longer exists due to job displacement.
