Peter Hughes

Peters early training in glaze combinations with pottery at Monte Lupo Pottery Studio Contributed to his interest in and the strong use of colour in his paintings.
Painting enables Peter to respond to experiences and people in his life and social issues he views from news and media. Peter combines text and figures in his work to create visually strong images.

Peter has worked in a range of mediums from pen to oil painting as well as water colour and acrylics. Currently, he works in acrylic, pastel and pen and has exhibited his work regionally, interstate and internationally. Peter's work is also in a number of private collections.
