downtune E to d (6th string) and g to f# capo on 1st fret.

in a nutshell.

hit 6th string followed by 4th. hammeron 5th string fret 4 to 5. back to 4th string. then same note on 5th string (fret 5). delay for 0.5s before playing 3rd fret on 3rd string. repeat from hammeron part to 3rd string. finish with 5th string open to 6th string open.

repeat that once for the first sequence.

the next two are similar. (2nd seq is like 5th-ft2 4th-4 + 3rd)

(3rd 6th-ft4-5 5th-ft5 to hammeron 4-5 +3rd+4th)

It is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. There are pieces of music that when heard time just stops briefly and all kinds of things enter your mind; happy memories, sad memories, bittersweet memories. This is one of those pieces of music.

I heard this years ago on an advert and spent ages trying track it down, then it appeared on a program about this girl in Llandudno (N Wales UK) and I made an enquiry and someone told me the name! I think it is one of the most sublimely haunting and beautiful songs I have ever heard. It makes me weep and think of all kinds of things that I can't put into words, but doesn't the best art/music do that? The album it's off too is very good. Nick Drake is similar as an artist to Jose.
