According to the director, the music video for "Gantz Graf" reached a cult status in underground computer-generated imagery art circles.[citation needed] The video features an abstract object (or an agglomeration of objects) synchronized to the sounds in the music as it morphs, pulsates, shakes, and finally dissolves. The visuals contain the same amount of richness and detail as the soundtrack does, having a visual counterpart to every little sound or frequency range in the song. Alex Rutterford (who had previously created an unofficial video for the Tri Repetae track "Eutow" as part of the Channel 4 music programme Lo-Fi in 2001) claims the idea for the "Gantz Graf" video came during one of his LSD trips

It's a shame... i've played this type of music for friends or whoever and I always get this look of what the hell are you listening to.They hear noise but I hear noise that has been structured and randomized. These people can't see the forest for the trees.
i get what your saying about the vid but it doesnt apply to everyone. some people are more auditarially based and understand what they are hearing 1st before understanding the vid. most people are visually based though so... yeah
its like making a visual in the sound structure of the song... i love listening to this song extremely loud, but when my girl walks in and asks "i don't understand this, sounds like random noise!" ill just keep to myself and enjoy Autechre Gantz Graf.
sad but true, maybe thats why this is considered to be underground... well at least that i think it may be. simply because i dont know people who like this.
