Netflix App Works on Rooted Nook Color!

Is there nothing the Nook Color can't do?
CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC0 + Netflix + Build.prop mod. You must already have a Netflix account, of course.
Download Netflix from App Market and then go over to XDA-Developers and look for the Nook Color Forums.

I went to Barnes and Noble, and they told me that you cannot get netlix on the nook. What is a "rooted" nook and how did you get netflix? **********Please respond

Rooting means gaining administrative access to your device. After that you can easily load on a new ROM (Android OS) and from there you'll be able to take the next steps to watch Netflix!

Google Customizing your Nook Color. Then click on the link that takes you to their Facebook wall. The folks there will help you root your Nook. You can also check Huskermania's Nook videos here on YouTube.

What android are you using? 2.2 or 2.3? I just got a nook and I cant wait to root it!

You can go to the bleeding edge and run nightlies - they may or may not be stable. Or you can download and try one of the stable releases. Check out the folks over at XDA-Developers (if you haven't already) and they'll have all the help you'll need. Good luck! As for sd cards, I always try to use sandisk - class 4 or higher.

Can anyone tell me what the original values were in the build.prop that you replace for this mod? I think it was "bn" and "nook color" or something like that. This mod didn't work for me and I just want to revert it.

you can get netflix on the nook go to the b & n website... it has it there

@MoniWooOOooooOOOOOOW think of it like this..... you could buy the n2a card, 40-50 dollars for an 8 GB setup. or you could buy a 32 GB sdhc card, and take 10 minutes out of your free time to do it yourself and learn something new. and if you go to show people, whats gonna be better sounding "i bought this sd card containing other peoples work to do this" or "i did it. made the sd card, learned how to set it up myself, and made it happen." doing it yourself is just more rewarding.

@MoniWooOOooooOOOOOOW an overpriced scam. it took me ten minutes to google how to writed clockworkmod to a 2 GB sd card for installing cm7 on m nook colors internal memory, because honestly, the nook color is 99.99% unbrickable. and with the bootable cwm sd card, i can return to stock anytime i want, or cm7, or honeycomb, or cm9.... when it comes out. idk its a personal philosophy that one should never pay for free software.

i just wanted to throw this out there..... if anyone is having issues with downloading and installing this app and the youtube app from the android marketry clearing the cache... and, ....data? its the options under manage applications. select the market app, clear the cache, clear the data, should be able to download the apps with no problems. dont know how this works, but it worked for me.... so.... there you go.

@LittleMissMass1 careful rooting it could mess it up if you aren't experienced. go to ebay. A guy who is well known and has great feedback sells sd cards with the rooted software already in it for nook color all u do is put the sd card in. turn it on and you have a exactly what this video shows. search for nook color rooted
