Here I am making a beat on my Open Labs NeKo LX5. I hope you enjoy it.

(DISCLAIMER:) Excuse the horrendous dancing at the end. I was just really happy about how fast I put the whole thing together. One of my fastest beats to date.

  • what would be your advice to someone who is a beginner and is interested in producing beats but dosen't no where to start,i been having beats in my head for years but im not quite caught up on todays technology.so what would you say to a first timer?

  • @Texan409 I would say get FL Studio and start learning how to use it. You got to put the time in to "learn" something if you want to accomplish anything. FL Studio is awesome!

  • thanks bro....are u still workin on the open labs and do u recommend it...ive got a motif rack n a few plugins but i was looking to get a miko....or this new studio blade..but im torn the open labs jus looks more user friendly tho

  • @SWITCHPRODUCTIONS100 Yep, I'm still recording on my LX-5 with no issues! It's great!!! I still recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful all-in-one unit. The StudioBlades and ControlBlades are also nice.

  • HOW DO U GET FL STUDIO TO QUANTISE AUTOMATICALY LIKE THAT ANYONE

  • @SWITCHPRODUCTIONS100 Just go up in the grid section and put it on 1/4 beat. That will automatically quantize everything to 16th notes.

  • now this tight man, keep it up

  • wooooooooooooow

  • i hope one day u turn on the touch screen an use it, cuz its one of the signature tools on the openlabs products,,its like using a fairlight without the touchscreen, u can use it as the mixboard and the external monitor as your edit window

  • I hear what you are saying about having skills to record. I've done pc recording for several gospel station and I currently have about $70k + invested in my studio. Based on my experience as a composer, singer, and pianist I know that it takes both quality sounding gear and skills to producer great sounding music. A $100 keyboard does not sound equal to a $3000 keyboard no matter how skilled you are. I own cheap gear and expensive gear the sound quality was not the same.
