Mean Kitty

Redy was abandoned as a kitten. She was too small to be taken from her mother and her issues come from that, not from abuse. She's been raised from kittenhood with great love and care and has a strong attachment to my mother; she dislikes others and even behaves this way toward other cats in the household. She is not being taunted for a reaction...this is how she reacts to someone being in her "space".




Please note that she is NOT running away; she is standing her ground on the top tier of the cat tree, which is "hers". She has ample room and avenue for escape and is not being cornered.




She is a very pampered cat and runs the household. There is no lack of love, nutritious food, or good veterinary care. There is absolutely no abuse. Some cats just have issues, the same way some people have issues, and we just have to work with that.

Please stop suggesting that we should kick, hurt or kill our cat for behaving this way.

Once again...Redy is not and has never been abused. She was too young to be separated from her mother when she was abandoned, and she has issues. I assure you she's treated like royalty.

The man in the video is my brother. I don't believe for a minute that this cat has ever been antagonized and provoked.

My brother and his fiance LOVE cats, never would they harm one.

What a beautiful cat :) Mine reacts exactly the same way, but takes a JUST a bit longer to swipe at someone. She hates being kissed so she would attack when she heard me making kissing noises at her, even though I was across the room from her.

I have a cat that was taken too early from it's mother and declawed by it's previous owners,then moved from home to home and finally rescued by me after the owner chose the to keep the dog instead of the cat.My cat is always swatting me but loves to follow me around....Our cats just have attitude problems,thats all. :)

I would usually assume abuse, but reading the information given, I have to admit I have seen this in a few cats from perfectly fine situations. The only internet advice you probably get a million of is to not raise your hand above its eyes (not very easy). I wonder if it feels fear or just agression in those situations?
