    No arguments here with your comments. When I installed these Truetrac's a number of people had made the comments that "they don't work the same in reverse". Their comments had me baffled and muttering to myself that they don't understand how they work. Therefore I created this video to show them the principle how the Truetrac diff's work......in either direction.

  • Applying the brake essentially acts to balance the loads on both front wheels and slightly load the diff so it can provide limited slip action. Although with a helical style LSD its possible to get open diff style action in extreme situations where one wheel has near zero traction under heavy load. With that style of LSD, the direction of rotation has no effect on action, only the load and speeds at each wheel. Essentially it forces the pinions up against the case, providing some braking action.
