@Matthalamew Look Mat. WOULD you go hunting for a 'red bull'?? No, because it is not meaning an actual red bull is it--but sacred mushroom. Mythology is not--in its deepest essence--to be taken literally or it is just dead news. Like a thrown away newspaper, discarded.
I would have thought someone who has experience of entheogens, and especially the in-depth knowledge you have of their central significance in mythologies would dig this. The MOST important meaning of myth is not the past and...

@zezt The same pattern can be seen in the Hebrews Genesis 'creation myth'. The writers subvert the images. So the sacred fruit is forbidden, the Great Goddess is demoted to a mortal woman--Eve, who is then blamed for corrupting 'Adam'/mankind. So here again we have a theocracy suppressing the people they seek to enslave.

lol, don't literalize mythilogy. Like you wouldn't go hunting for a 'reb bull' when it really is referring to a mushrooms, so don't go hunting for a real ark! There is ample evidence online that that so-called find is utterly debunked---duh.
The classical Greek gods waging war on the 'giants' are not REALLY giants (who would find it very awkward to move with earth's gravity), but as John Allegro reveals means 'sacred mushrooms'. Ie., the new theocracy oppress the indigenous use of entheogens.
