Yep, that's what I said, an inverter on a 1,5 volt bat would just work like a short circuit. However, Volts and Ampere are not diffrent kinds of energy, they are just diffrent aspects of any electrical energy. Voltage is the "diffrence" or "Pressure" of the electricity, Ampere is the amount of that energy. That's why battery capacity is in ampere-hours

Many people are overlooking the fact that there are two 'kinds' of energy at work here: VOLTS and AMPS. Using the plug shown, the tv requires 115-volts AC at about 1-3 amps. The requirements for BOTH the volatage AND the amperage must be met for the tv to work. Convert the 1.5-volt DC AAA battery however you want, there simply is not enough amps in a single AAA battery to power the television - PERIOD. Yes, a 24 volt truck battery (LOTS of AMPS) would certainly have enough amps to run the tv.

Old tv's with CRT picture tubes did, and only older models that didn't have a built in discharging resistor. Most powersupplies have capacitators that also hold a small charge

If you use an inverter it's possible, and the battery sill more or less short circuit, it won't power a tv..
I've run a projector (that's around 300 watt) off a 24 volt truck battery, it ran for around 20 minutes..

No - a single battery (Double or Triple 'A') is only 1.5 volts, this unit requires 115...
I can't believe any of you dipshits would believe it could possibly work, let alone even try it.

Although it is true that just about any form of energy can be converted one way or another into the (approx)~115volts ~2amps that this tv requires, I promise you that a single AAA battery will not power this television. Even if using the most efficient speakers available to date, you would BARELY be able to hear the audio from this set as loud as is shown (let alone power up an old stytle Cathode Ray Tube).
