  • The hell? Then don't watch it on YouTube. Youtube has crappy quality anyways. Try Stage6 or Veoh.

Tell me about it. My other account with over 400 videos uploaded and over 100 000 million views in total across all my videos was banned and deleted. I can never use it again. Because I uploaded anime shows and made AMVs. All that work...and they didnt even gave me a warning. And all my youtube friends and subscribers, I can never tlak to them again except the few I added on facebook. I hate youtube...they took something meaningful away from me.

  • 11 people pissed Triela off

  • Rico is the beast!! XD

  • henrietta is a beast!

  • it adds an extra twist to the perversity because it distances reality even further from what it should be. In essence, the cuter, kinder, and more innocent Henrietta is the more horrid what they've done becomes.

I would like to point out though that in the end the show, despite it's profound feeling of existential loss, does end with a display of beauty and kindness. So I don't think it's so much a statement on child soldiers as it is in general about suffering and beauty. It's a profound show.

  • @Eternalsailormeg "In the most notorious case, the Khmer Rouge communist group exploited thousands of desensitized conscripted children to commit mass murders and other inhuman acts during the Cambodian genocide. The brainwashed child soldiers were taught to follow any order without hesitation." - Wikipedia.

Unfortunately, yes. The only made up part of this series is the cybernetics, and hence the individual effectiveness of the soldiers. They purposefully chose girls for the series as...

  • @Neichus I understand what you're saying. But are these types of things really happening around the world?

  • @Eternalsailormeg That's it's point. It's a melancholy drama that uses the Social Welfare Corporation, and the girls in particular, as a window into the effects of violence and what using people as a means really does. It intentionally evokes those feelings of disgust: it's not a show made mindlessly by people glorifying death and destruction but railing against it. There is however a subtle counterpoint of beauty running through the series; that there is some good that shines out in the end.

  • I know of that anime and it's sick. Little girls killing and being killed terrible!!

  • @krudmuphinstudioz back in 2007,MTV was dubbing the series for eventual release in Italy. It's 2011,and they dubbed only TWO episodes.
