  • @MrBroski619 . Yes some do. The Rottie is one of the breeds used in the making of the doberman breed.

  • 1:21 the dobermans looked like rottweilers

  • @strych9lover I looked this up on Dobequest and Doberman Review. And the 2 pedigree sights do not agree on the Dam of Stella.... Why??? Which one is true?? and in all of the beginning dogs nothing is recorded as to the breed...

  • @strych9lover In all my research I have not run across this. Could you tell me what to

look for or send me a link to the info. I know there is speculation of the

different breeds but I never found anything giving a name or date. The black

female was she solid black no marking?? All the old pictures I have found

some look like they had no markings but in the old black and whites is so

hard to tell. Was the Grey hound a solid black? I know nothing about

    greyhounds.

  • “The injection of this grey-hound blood into our Doberman breed can be approved to the extent that it reconstituted the breed’s sharpness, which suffered a sever setback from the admixture with the blood of the gentle Manchester Terrier"

  • She then went on in 1910 to produce two prominent offspring,a red male named Roland vd Haide and a black female anmed Sybille v Langen, Sybille had the look of a Greyhound with the lacking under-jaw. Philipp Gruenig, a German soldier, Doberman breeder, judge, and author of the 1939 book The Doberman Pinscher, had this to say

  • @mslvrfx You can find actual photos online of the product of this cross, "Further Refinement of the Doberman Pinscher- Before the Doberman breed was formalized there where many, stud books and they were not well kept. In 1908 a black female appeared in the books. Her name was Stella and she was whelped in Ried of the province of Hessia in Germany. Stella was the product of a black English Greyhound sire and a black Doberman dam.

  • @strych9lover Where do you get the info that English Greyhounds were straight crossed in??? Would like to see any proof of that for our research. Thank you.

  • Wonderful historical journey. All with the standard Dock and Crop; as it should be.

  • What is the song name?
