You might want to get the microphone closer or turn up the gain when recording. A properly recorded track should not need to raised.

I've really enjoyed your video series on Discovering Religion!

Not sure if you would be open to this, but I have a background in audio editing and would love to collaborate with you on future videos (free of course). I have a plethora of programs and plugins that might be useful.

A recommendation: use a high pass filter to remove any frequency below 100Hz in your voiceover. It'll help to clear it up a bit.
