Like the lighting - the pensive figure - good job there. Not so good on the voice, but hey, Dostoevsky's characters speak well enough without drama. This "underground" man is a disaffected INTP subtly conveying his observations even while toying with his readers. INTPs see the universe as a huge experiment and if an INTP is wise, he/she tends to not take ourselves too seriously ;-) all the while conveying deep truths.

I read this and White Nights in one day, loved both.

I was the only person that liked this book when we discussed it in world lit. Didn't find anything funny about it though.

I was wondering if anybody else found this book absolutely hilarious.
I love the way he is always guessing what the reader is thinking.
