not bad. i love these cars. I have a 96 lx. I am currently searching for a clean GT. for its class, this car is very under appreciated. Easy to work on, cheap as well. It also puts out good power considering its a ford econo car. thanks of course to the 1.8 DOHC Mazda power

i dont know what your smoking but i want some. a stock escort GT has a curb weight of 2450lbs and puts out 127hp, they dont do better than mid 15's in the 1/4 mile on a good day.
by comparison, a mustang GT weighs in at 3450 and puts down 300hp, and they run low 13's in stock trim.
ford wouldnt let their economy car compete with their flagship muscle car in a 1/4 miles run..think about it.
