Clip of a 1988 Kentucky KM-1000 mandolin, handmade by Sumi in Japan. Yes, it does say "The Gibson" on the headstock, but it is indeed a Kentucky.

  • thats a gibson mandolin

  • @CGiordano464 Well, Chris Thile is not Bluegrass and doesn't have a Bluegrass style, or a Bluegrass sound. Mr. Bill Monroe, Frank Wake field, Marty Stuart, Ricky Skaggs, and Sam Bush. That is Talent of our Century. Their is many more better then Thile.

  • @bluegrasssingingman wow ur opinion sure isnt what the majority of bluegrass fans think. that sad u are unable to appreciate one of the most talented musicians in our century..

  • @zeppy13131 Gibson only made one good mandolin, and that is a Loar. The fern sounds to bright, and not enough woody dry sound. Tell you the truth I wouldn't own a Gibson fern. Even if it was given to me.

  • @zeppy13131 You are full of shit.

  • @CGiordano464 Doesn't sound like no Fag Thile song. There is no Bluegrass in Thiles music.

  • whta song is this want to learn it terribly! has kinda of a chris thile sound to it

  • Do you still have this mandolin? If so, would you sell it? What would you like to get out of it?

  • I want to start learning mandolin and I love your playing!
