Continuing my previous message here, though it may get messy... Well, it's my conception that you can have an equally strong and deep "nature experience" with a synthetic substance, all comes down to brain chemistry in the end. I've been enjoying psilocin's little brother metocin for quite some time, having some inexplicable and deep "nature experiences", becoming the forrest itself and all that...

Whether or not you lose the "nature context" depends on the user rather than the substance imo.

The psychological/conceptual context connected with picking wild psilocybin fungi is radically different from the context associated with getting, say, a tab of acid from a dealer. My work revolves around this important distinction - and this is why I am a mushroom advocate. My dealer is the biosphere itself. Better than Sandoz.

I think this was a pretty good chat, definitely a great video for introducing someone to the whole concept of psychedelics.

But I disagree with the whole "nature's drugs are good, man made drugs are bad". In the same manner, would you say that Datura for instance is better than LSD for instance simply because Datura occours naturally? And what about 4-aco-dmt for instance, which is metabolized to 4-ho-dmt upon ingestion? Many people report that 4-aco-dmt gives a much "cleaner" experience...

Well actually you didn't, that was an over exaggeration on my part. But it's obvious that you favour at least psilocybin because of their being a part of nature, which led to my objection, because synthetic substances may have advantages in some cases.

Bear in mind that my messages may seem insular due to the character limit, it's hard to cram a hundred thoughts into 500 characters... I do share your view that psychedelics needs to be more associated with nature.

    Best wishes

*Everything* is part of nature - including mankind and all that mankind makes/produces. However, I 'favour' mushrooms because of their deep(er) ecological/biospherical associations. This ties in with the core of my work.

Here is what I really think. Cannabis can cause psychosis in those who don't use it. And used too much it can lead to a complete lack of appreciation of British humour (as evinced by those who thumbed down my comment that cannabis was the leaf of satan...)

Haven't been taking anything, but totally agree with the conclusions of Simon. We humans have lost the ability to live WITH nature, instead we destroy our own living environment and conclusively human civilization.

We will NEVER control nature... as some might like to think!

Ah yes, I truly see your point regarding the "dirty" market and I agree, excluding the drug dealing business from the whole thing would be ideal. But if you ignone that factor, and look upon the substances themselves, LSD for instance is a lot better for some people, a friend of mine has to take huge doses of 4-hydroxy tryptamines to get the desired effect, while LSD works quite perfectly with normal doses. In this case, the LSD will always result in a deeper, more desirable experience.

When our state of conciousness is altered.....I believe we also have an effect on physical reality itself inline to our thoughts. What do you think?
