Ct shoreline blue crab. Next time we go out we'll make a better video. First ice the crabs so you don't have to fight them like I did. Then pry open the apron underneath, it will give you a safe holding place. Now, stab scissors tips into the shell in front of each arm, and go all the way to the top shell, then snip. Turn the scissors 90 degrees and shove in, then open them. That will jack the shell off. Remove the gills and any loose mouth pieces. Then clean out the goo in the middle and rinse well. The females will have two egg producing sacks to remove. Some might have a slimy skin like lining in them, that would be a new shell developing. It won't poison you. And that's all. You can now boil, steam, and even freeze them.

Slaughter first cook later. Cooked crabs make cleaning boring.
