Canada was not involved in a war with Afghanistan in the 1980's it was only after attacks that Canada and other countries got involved. Chomsky spew Islamist propaganda and does not view them in a negative light.

@shirehorse91 Canada deployed some of their military both in Afghanistan and Iraq, so there's that. The fanatical declarations of the likes of bin Laden is hardly refutes Chomsky's analysis of geopolitics as his declarations say nothing about why groups like "al Qaeda" gain support amongst Muslims, nor do they prove that US foreign policy isn't imperialist.
