Not finished yet but just had to test fire it. Its a piece of barrel steel for a .375 caliber it has rifling not that it helps because its firing a patched ball. I have a gunsmith buddy Dave VanHorn who makes custom rifles and he couldn't use it because it was just a cutoff piece. I'll post a video of his shop and some of his guns they are incredible. Here it's shooting a 32 cal soft lead ball from Hornady a .310 diameter I'm guessing 88grain projectile its not listed on the box and its patched with fabric really lighweight stuff we had and I cut it into about 4x4 squares just tight enough to fairly easily push it down the barrel with a cleaning rod. I'm gonna make a sled for it out of a 4x4 chunk of wood. The powder load in this is being measured using an empty 38 special casing. I used 2 and 1/2 casings in this video of FFG Hogdon Pyrodex. Let me know what you guys think. Length of the cannon is 12 3/4"
entire length. Fuse hole is 1/8 inch I drilled it with a drill no press and pluged the one end with a bolt hammered in super tight. No way its gonna blow the bolt off with this light of charges the max charge I will do is the 2.5 38 special casings full of FFG while firing a projectile and maybe double that for salute charges with just wadding.
Comment just keep it clean and no rude or unnecessary remarks or swearing please. Also see my other videos.
