Decisions, decisions! I want to buy products and i've narrowed it down to these two. I would appreciate your opinions and stories about the two companies to help me decide. Also a bit of rambling, lol. Sorry :-)

  • Qhemet is the best

  • well I got the Oyin Honey Hemp condish and Greg juice. Greg juice is great as a spritser. But Honey Hemp did not do anything for my hair; it did not give me the deep conditioning feeling. But get Greg juice for sure, softens hair really well and saves me from the frustration of transistioning. Have not tried Qhemet yet; but plan on buying the whole line cos ive heared so much good stuff about it.

  • Both. Oyin's conditioner and pomade, Qhemet's moisturizers.

  • Qhemet definately! Ive tried both and qhemet is the bomb, always works on all types of hair- Oyin didnt work well for me and it was kinda sticky- greg juice. I tried the amla and olive / burdock butter cream/ honey tree bush- all great.

  • oooh you ladies are gonna get me to whip out that darn credit card for that qhemet ish on my kinks lol

  • I've never tried Qhemet, but I ABSOLUTE LOVE the Oyin Handmade products. Their Herbal leave in is very moisturizing and it keeps your hair soft every day. I would also try vegetable glycerin in your water spray, that will help to keep it moisturized

  • I have used both on my daughter's hair. Her's is a lot like yours. The Oyin Greg juice I used and liked ended up getting some funky stuff floating around in the bottle. I tried contacting the company many times with NO RESPONSE so I stopped buying from them. I like the Quemet. I use the detangling ghee with some oil added and her hair gets shiny and soft. It smells great!!

  • i recommend Oyin. The reason I prefer Oyin over Qhemets is because Oyin covers a wider range of hair type than Qhemet. Qhemet in my opinion is more for 4a/4b/4c type hair. I have 3c/4a hair and Qhemet was toooo heavy. The product that worked great was the honey teabrush gel.

  • twist outs do take a long time, u can do 2 strand flat twists instead, it takes much less time, and you get the same effect

  • I love both lines, but the honeyhemp conditioner i use as a leave in it makes my curls pop and qhemet is a awesome moisturizer.

  • My hair was very very very very dry - I purchase aveda s damage remedy treatment and qhemet bios heavy alma cream and for the first time in my life ever my hair is hydrated - when I pull mu braids they bounce back - Oyin handmade can be used as the perfect co wash then after take a little and use as a leave in - but the oyin and the qhemet do two different things - You really need both
