Recording Session - José Barros e Navegante

A Short Subject filmed during a recording session for a Xmas record, performed by Navegante (and some guests). The short subject "Recording Session" take only 2 hours to be shot and another 6 hours to be edited.

The sound was captioned directly from the Camera. No color grading yet. The arrangement did not correspond to the final version and was created for this film only, using the sound recorded in camera.

This is a Draft version of the final work.

In this case I used the built in Mic from 5D mark II, far from ideal, but manageable. Note that the sound is a mix of an entire clip with camera fixed on a tripod, mixed with some small parts recorded later during recording session. Because I'm mixing different parts with one stable and continuous source, the result is acceptable. For this kind of work I really recommend an external mic and recorder in order to control the gain. In other situations I have clipping all the time (only use manual).
