This is sort of a reverse remix i did. i was working on a random track for no one in particular-- no style or direction in mind. at a point my flow of ideas started to slow down so i decided to try a pre-recorded vocal on top of the track to maybe spark some new ideas. i listened to a few accas and found the"under mi sensi" vocals, they sounded like they were in the rite key and the tempo was pretty close, so i pulled them into the session and went to work. i added more keys, horn hit samples, and extra drums, and the track started to take shape and take on a life of its own. The music sounded very natural with the randomly found vocal and the vibe of the song felt original. i was curious so i looked up the original version of "under mi sensi' by Mr Vegas, and was very surprised that the feel of the song was nothing like mine at all-not even in the same ball park, totally different song now.i guess the way i heard the rhythms around the vocals was in a totally diff cadence than the original producers of the track---oh well. instruments used were refx-quadra sid, roland vp-9000, native instruments- battery, and logic pro.
better than original
